We are using a HIPAA-compliant platform called Doxy, which allows us to make video calls via a web enabled device with a camera. Additionally, many health insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid, are reimbursing for audio-only telehealth calls during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are storing patients' information on systems that we also use for in-person visits.
Additionally, we are only seeing patients for telemedicine when appropriate. For many people, we cannot safely conduct a telemedicine visit for a variety of reasons. For those people, we can schedule them for one of our limited in-person appointment slots.
As a referring provider, you can always call us and ask to speak to the physician on call if you have any questions.
