Clinical Inpatient Operations Manager
Position Description
The Clinical Inpatient Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and daily operations of the respective neurology program in their assigned geographic area. This position is instrumental in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key business executives and stakeholders to include physicians, hospital partners and CarePoint Health/Blue Sky Neurology (BSN) senior leaders. The Clinical Inpatient Operations Manager will participate in physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) recruitment, interviews, site visits and various onboarding activities. This role will work to ensure efficient operations and support division initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Clinical Inpatient Operations Manager is required to travel occasionally to support business objectives.
Position Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Certification in project management is a plus.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare operations leadership role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong financial acumen to ensure accurate invoicing, reporting, and utilization of physicians and APPs within the team(s).
- Work effectively with teammates to ensure tasks are completed timely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
- Consistently maintain a high level of professionalism with clients, both internal and external.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at every level of the organization, including executive and C-level leadership.
- Proven experience in delivering solutions that address client and customer needs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Office Suite.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees new site, provider, hospital, and health system go-lives.
- Sets up project calls with new facilities and health systems to ensure projects are moving forward.
- Attends conferences, meetings and site visits at facilities.
- Has after hours availability for troubleshooting issues.
- Oversees and conducts physician and client touchpoints to ensure satisfaction with BSN services.
- Fosters strong, long-lasting relationships with providers and key stakeholders.
- Regularly communicates and collaborates with internal CarePoint departments such as accounting, finance, IT, recruiting and credentialing.
- Oversees the reporting, invoicing, and payments to contracted and employed providers.
- Ensures the accuracy of provider scheduling functions within BSN and works directly with the inpatient and tele-health teams to ensure there is consistent and accurate facility and call coverage.
- Oversees the reporting and invoicing to partner facilities.
- Acts as an internal project manager for the go-live of new initiatives within BSN such as billing, software, and new programs.
- Participates in provider recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Identifies improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and service to customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Location
This is a hybrid position based in San Antonio, TX.
Salary Range
$70,000 - $95,000
