Dr. Carwin received her medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine and is board certified in neurology. She completed her neurology residency at the Cleveland Clinic and her movement disorders and memory disorders fellowship at Georgetown University. She has participated in numerous clinic trials investigating Parkinson’s disease, Lewy Body disease, atypical Parkinson’s, autonomic dysfunction, dementia, hallucinations and psychosis.
Dr. Carwin treats all movement disorders, including tremors, parkinsonisms, cervical and limb dystonias, and blepharospasm. She has extensive training and experience with botulinum toxin injections using EMG-guidance and ultrasound-guidance. She is well-versed in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and DUOPA pump titrations. She additionally manages autonomic dysfunction and performs tilt table tests, and she treats dementia. Her other clinic interests include headache and stroke.
