Debbie attended The University of Colorado in Boulder for her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology. She then earned her RN degree from Arapahoe Community College. She went on to be one of the first graduates from RN to MSN program at The University of Colorado. In the RN to MSN program she earned both her MSN and her MBA. In 2016 she graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Nurse Practitioner Program. 

She started working has an RN at St. Anthony Central Hospital on the telemetry unit. She was also a home care nurse for UpJohn Home Care agency. Debbie started working with HealthONE in 1996 and has held numerous positions within the HealthOne organization: Home Care Administrator, Director of Case Management, Quality Coordinator and House Supervisor at North Suburban Medical Center, Case Manager, and CNO/COO at Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital. As the CNO/COO at Spalding Debbie worked with many patients suffering with neurological impairments. Her goal was always to provide the best care possible, and to help them achieve maximum recovery and return to independence. After graduating as a Nurse Practitioner Debbie joined Blue Sky Neurology to continue working with patients needing ongoing neurology care. 

In her spare time, Debbie enjoys her 4 very active grandchildren, and enjoys spending time with her husband at their summer home in Alaska.
