Courtney Rahrig is a Colorado native who received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Valparaiso University in Indiana, before beginning her career in 2008 as an intensive care unit nurse at Sky Ridge Medical Center where she spent six years. She then continued her education in Denver where she attended the University of Colorado Denver for her Masters of Science in Nursing. Following this accomplishment, she achieved her adult nurse practitioner degree. Courtney is currently a member of the Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses, and completed a Critical Care Fellowship at the Medical Center of Aurora in 2008. She was also a Nightingale Award Nominee in 2011. Courtney has just recently joined Blue Sky Neurology in mid-2014. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Valparaiso University NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Team, and acted as team captain for two of her four years. Also while at Valparaiso University she traveled to Costa Rica and Nicaragua for a nursing medical mission trip. Courtney is an outdoors enthusiast who loves the Colorado lifestyle and traveling the world as much as possible.
