Dr. Karen Karwa was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She attended medical school at Lokmanya Tilak Medical College in Mumbai. She completed her neurology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Karwa continued on to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio to complete a fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine. During her fellowship she worked as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. She joined National Jewish Health and Blue Sky Neurology in 2016 to practice outpatient and inpatient neurology in Denver.
Dr. Karwa has a special interest in managing patients with neuromuscular conditions and is the Honorary Medical Chair for the Myasthenia Gravis Walk in Colorado. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
